Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Perform a wide range of marine repairs, including diagnostics, complex repairs, and electrical work.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless project execution.
- Complete full, accurate, and honest courtesy inspections for our guests.
- Maintain a safe and productive working environment.
- Keep the shop clean and in working order.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and industry regulations.
Job Requirements:
- 2+ years as a Marine Shop Technician or similar role.
- Extensive knowledge of marine systems, engines, and components.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in the marine industry.
- Positive attitude and a strong desire to serve others.
- Aptitude for learning additional skills and processes.
- Technical certification or relevant degree in marine mechanics is preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Occasionally lift and/or move over 100 pounds.
- Work with tools on boats lifted above your head.
- Work in tight spaces as dictated by the boats needing repair.
- Possess the needed dexterity to efficiently use hand tools.
- Walk/stand for most of the workday.
